Maze Visualizer
A downloadable game for Windows
Mazes have been fascinating me for a while now and this project is my way of exploring them through procedural generation. It’s a simple yet engaging tool that brings different maze algorithms to life, letting you see how they work in real time.
Features
🧩 Three Maze Generation Algorithms (for now):
• Depth First Search
• Simplified Prim’s Algorithm
• Hunt and Kill
⚙️ Customizable Options:
• Adjust maze size before generation
• Choose a random starting point
• Control generation speed
• Pause, resume, and reset the maze anytime
💡 Want to know more?
A small info button displays the algorithm’s logic in pseudocode for those interested in the underlying process.
Future Plans
I plan to add more algorithms, manual start-point selection, sound effects, and a maze-solving feature to visualize the path from start to finish.
Why This Project?
This is a personal exploration of maze generation, a little portfolio piece, and a farewell to Unity as I transition to Unreal Engine. Whether you're here out of curiosity, for learning, or just to watch mazes unfold, I hope you find it interesting!
